New Moons are traditionally associated with new intentions and renewed manifestation energy,and this gets some special backing by being the first New Moon of the year. 


This New Moon arrives in the sign of Aquarius, the Water Bearer. Though this sign often brings the element of Water to mind, it is actually ruled by Air. Aquarius energy is intensely intellectual energy.
