Hi! Kesha here of New World Tarot, and thank you for joining me today for another blog!

I hope you are doing well and feeling happy and peaceful and free and thus far enjoying your spring…OR your autumn, if you happen to live in the Southern Hempishere! Thanks to the power of the Internet, that’s certainly possible!

This Saturday, May 18th, we welcome a new Full Moon in our lives, this time in the sign of Scorpio. The Full Moon is of course the most dramatic and illuminating part of the moon cycle, when the moon is her fullest and round and spectacular to behold.  To me, the moon in this period is a symbol of a goddess, her fullness promising to deliver what you worked to manifest since the New Moon, and to take in and dissipate what you give her now. This strikes me as just a magical and energetically potent time to do your most important and most difficult energetic work.

During the Full Moon, the moon is casting so much silver light that if you are in a dark place with no other lights around, you can actually still see around you really well, provided the clouds aren’t covering her. I mean, if you’ve ever stood in a completely dark room at night and had access to huge windows that allowed an unobstructed Full Moon into the room...wow!

The Full Moon can be incredibly illuminating – almost sunlight within the darkness! It certainly can be so bright you not only can see everything in the room, but can also find it impossible to sleep at night! It’s amazing. In fact, I see the Full Moon in particular as a sort of feminine sun. The duality is so striking – on one hand the Full Moon is extremely illuminating and almost masculine in its aggression, and on the other it is so gentle and feminine and mysterious. Of course I love the Tarot, and I can’t help but think of the card that is ruled by the moon, The High Priestess. I definitely see the emblem of the High Priestess in all the moon phases, but definitely the Full Moon especially, when the moon comes into her fullest power.  And we can even see it in the crown of the High Priestess card in the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck: a center full moon flanked by a waxing moon on one side and a waning moon on the other side. So beautiful.

So, as we know, each Full Moon emerges in a different sign, thus flavoring its power differently each month. This Full Moon arrives in the sign of Scorpio. Oh boy, the sign of the Scorpion! You may know some Scorpios, OR you may be a Scorpio yourself! People who are Sun-sign Scorpios are born roughly between October 22nd and November 22nd.  Scorpio is a Water sign, meaning it is ruled by the element of Water. Now, there are 3 Water signs in the Western zodiac: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.  Scorpio has a quadruplicity of Fixed (there are three quadruplicities in each element: Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable). Scorpio is Fixed Water, which means in short it is an aggressive, deeply rooted, turbulent and stubborn form of Water.  Scorpio is intense! Scorpio is a choppy ocean full of sultry mermaids, spectacular sea monsters and viscious ship-sinking whirlpools. Scorpio is a magnificent, powerful sign full of mystery, darkness, sexuality, fantasies, nightmares, and secrets. Scorpio is an ocean of deep, dark secrets, the metaphoric ocean harboring an ocean floor full of long-forgotten shipwrecks.

We ALL have a little bit of Scorpio in us. Some more than others. But one thing is certain: It’s all but impossible for us to journey through this experience called Life without accumulating energetic and emotional scars and trauma. Humans do horrible things to each other. Humans say horrible things to each other. Violence, abuse, hatred – whether directed at others or at yourself – are impossible to avoid completely in this world. It’s important to realize that all violence, all attacks, all abuse, comes out of fear. Many people victimize others because they are afraid to be victims themselves, and they see no other way to get control of their lives: they become a victim or a victimizer and there are no other options.  Many people victimize others because they want vengeance for a wrong that was done to them, and others have taken on the image of the wrongdoer in that person’s mind.

No matter the source of the scarring – be it violence, abuse, neglect, hatred – we have all been victims of dark behavior and perpetrators of dark behavior.  It is likely – especially when you were younger – that you simply tamped down your pain and shame when it occurred to you, and did your best to move on. If someone deeply hurt you, you may have just pushed it down and kept moving. If you hurt someone else, did you ask the victim to forgive you? Maybe you did, or maybe you didn’t. Even if you did, did you then forgive YOURSELF? When we’ve been violated or when we feel guilt for violating others, the energetic scars and ramifications, if not dealt with properly, could become locked up in our bodies and our subconscious. Over time, this energy can become increasingly toxic, manifesting in personality defects such as chronic distrust, extreme fear, anxiety disorders, depression, anger and violence problems and even physical maladies and disease. The word disease, after all, is a conjuction of “dis-ease,” meaning a body that is not at ease.

This Full Moon in Scorpio, I want to ask you, “What dark secrets are YOU hiding? What darkness is deep inside you that you are not illuminating and not dealing with?” This could be something that was done to you, or something you’ve done to others. Perhaps it is both. It is not uncommon, especially in regards to abuse, anger and violence, for painful behavior to cycle, especially if the pain occurred when we were very young.  This month, any pain and trauma can be addressed. However, I am especially calling out pain, shame and trauma of a violent and sexual nature, such as rape, molestation and domestic abuse. I’m coming right out and naming these in particular because they are the ones that our society is most uncomfortable around and most fearful of, and as a result of this, they are more likely to be pushed down to the deep, dark abysss of your soul and psyche to rot and fester, and are less likely to be properly dealt with.

If our psyche is an ocean, I like to think of a shipwreck lying at the bottom as representative of painful events that we’ve been a part of.  A heinous event occurs, a once-beautiful and buoyant ship sinks to the bottom of our soul…and just stays there. We think because it’s in our past and because we cannot see it anymore it’s fine, it’s not there. But it IS there. Worse, it’s poisoning our internal ecosystem around it with its peeling paint, leaking chemicals, etc. These shipwrecks often become haunted by the metaphoric ghosts of the past. Especially is this pain is a source of great shame, you cannot be the powerful person you are here to be and still carry this within you. You MUST illuminate it, face it, haul it up and heal. And the way to heal is to bring up the ship and remove it.  It’s a big job, and it may not be easy, and in fact it may be the hardest thing you ever do. You may need help in the long term. But fortunately , the Full Moon is a great energetic force for hard jobs, and can help you.

This Full Moon in Scorpio, I would like you to devote the lunar energies to truly being honest with yourself.  What scars do you carry within you? What is haunting you?  What is or was you role in the pain? Were you the victim? Were you the perpetrator? Both? Was something done to you, but do you hate yourself because you feel as though you’ve caused it?
It is so important, in order to grow into your God-given power, that you release and heal, pain, shame and trauma. The darker it is, the more important it is for you to heal it.

#1. Get Help. I cannot emphasize the importance of needing help sometimes. Being independent is wonderful. It’s great and should be something we aspire to. But there are some jobs so big, that we cannot handle them 110% alone. And you need to know that that is OK. That doesn’t make you weak. How do you know if you need help with healing pain or trauma? One hint is if you’ve tried to deal with it before on your own and were unsuccessful. If you’ve tried to “raise that ship” on your own, but have found yourself struggling with the same issues over and over, you likely need some assistance. Wester professional assistance is very valuable and takes many forms, from informal meetups and support groups to therapy and counseling. If you are someone who is more spiritually minded and look down on Western traditional methods, please be openminded! There is value in different methods, and don’t ever feel as though you must choose! There is no reason to choose. One thing that Tarot has taught me is that there is value and light in all paths. A blended life is a rich life. Life on Earth can be tough and scary and leave scars, and it’s ok to need help from time to time. Never feel as though you are weak or a failure of some sort if you need to get help. No one has done anything of greatness without help, and living is no exception.

#2. Practice Forgiveness
. This is so EXTREMELY important. When you hold on to resentment and pain in your body, what you are doing is energetically tying yourself to the object of your ire and resentment. You are making your happiness, your freedom and your joy conditional, instead of what it is meant to be, which is constant, ever-present and infectious. You are essentially giving away your power, and worse, giving it to the person who has wronged you. The only way to free yourself from this energetic servitude is to forgive. Now this does NOT mean you condone their behaviour. What they may have done to you could damn well be deplorable and reprehensible. But for your own personal healing and release, you must forgive them. And let’s not forget ourselves in this category! It’s soo important to forgive yourself. This is especially true if you were the perpetrator in harming others, and you may even need to forgive yourself if you were in fact the victim. The Full Moon is a wonderful time to begin the process of releasing these heavy, difficult energies. Furthermore, you may need to forgive over and over and over and over again for a while, depending on how much damage has been done to you. That’ ok. Each time you do it, it becomes easier. Don’t be afraid of your emotions. Make sure you are safe, and either alone or within reach of supportive company if this is what’s needed. This is a part of healing, the illumination and the shedding of light upon the darkness. I have a nice Fire and Water Full Moon forgiveness ritual here:
http://www.newworldtarot.org/spreads-n-spells.html

#3. Practice Self-Correction
. Once you have forgiven, this is wonderful! Please pat yourself on the back and praise yourself! This is hard work! But now, the good work that you are doing continues as you live your daily life. Especially if you have been harboring emotions such as resentment or self-hatred for quite some time, you now need to start learning how to NOT do that.  This may be incredibly difficult at first. This may have been your default way of being. But you must now practice self-observation – observing your actions, your thoughts and your feelings, and stopping what is harmful and what will return you to your emotional slavery, and instead choosing the empowering choices of love, self-love, patience and compassion. Again, you may need help with this. It’s ok; ask for it and accept it.

Hi! Kesha here of New World Tarot, and I want to wish you a Happy Belated May Day, a Happy Belated Beltane or, if you don’t celebrate either of those, a happy midspring! Trees are thick with leaves, the flowers are popped open, the migratory birds are back and chirping loud and building their nests…You know, unlike in the very early stages of spring, the worst is behind us now. In very early spring, around the Spring Equinox, winter still can reach out and touch you!  You’re moving forward, you know, but also still looking over your shoulder in fear of that last big blizzard. Even though the new warmth and thaw and embrace of the early spring is amazing and helps us to rebirth and rebuild ourselves, snow can and does happen, and freezing cold nights and frost are still a part of it as well. But NOW…usually…our planet has turned enough towards the sun that these things are becoming more distant memories, and the earth is showing signs of the sun’s increasing proximity. Everything is just lush and vibrant now…and it’s just like…here we go!

So, I want to thank you for joining me today for another vlog! This May 4th, we are welcoming a New Moon, this time in the sign of Taurus. Now, the New Moon is the part of the moon cycle that starts the cycle all over again. The moon moves from New, to crescent, to gibbous to Full, and then back down again to start over with the New Moon once again.

This part of the cycle, the New Moon, also known as the Dark Moon due to its lack of visible light, is the part that starts it anew. For this reason, the New Moon is strongly associated with new beginnings, with manifestation, with renewal of focus and with declaring new intentions. It’s a potent time to birth and sow your seeds of desire with the New Moon, and as the moon grows, so do your goals and desires grow into physical manifestation along with it.

Each New Moon appears in a different astrological sign, and this time it appears in Taurus. Taurus, symbolized by the Bull, is ruled by the element of Earth.  Earth is all about, well…Earth! It’s about the tangible earth. It’s about those touchable, real resources that make life on Earth possible and comfortable. It’s about assets, property, money, wealth, abundance, possessions, land, currency, work effort and work ethic, income and quality of life. The sign of Taurus is likewise associated with these same earthly aspects. Taurus energy is well known for its natural talents of manifestation, planning, work ethic and just pushing through and doing what needs done. Taurus is about getting what you want, and crafting a beautiful life through planning and doing the work that gets results.

This New Moon, therefore, is a great time to work on manifestation of your goals and desires.  This New Moon in Taurus, I ask you: What do you truly desire to have in life? What type of income do you desire? What type of possessions do you desire? Now is the time to harness both the rich Earthy energy and the New Moon energy to re-focus on manifesting the wealth and abundance that you desire.
The most effective formula to get more wealth, abundance and prosperity is:
SPIRITUAL ACTION + PHYSICAL ACTION = RESULTS

Physical action is very important because, after all, we can are physical beings in a physical world. However, spiritual action is vital to getting your strongest, most satisfying and most frequent earthly manifestations.  Today, we are going to talk about my favorite method for spiritual work that you can do to manifest your desires.

Now, there are so many different ways and methods to increase your powers of manifestation.  And I must say I’ve tried a lot of them! I’ve tried mantras, chanting, EFT (tapping). I’ve tried elaborate spellwork consisting of like 25 different ingredients and requiring the calculation of planetary hours! Basically, the more exotic the method, the more excited I was to try it, I have to say. I was never one for mundane methods. Not that there’s anything wrong with trying different methods of manifesting! Hey, I definitely encourage you to be explorative and adventurous and try different methods!

However, today, I am going to talk to you about a method that finally seemed to work for me after years of trying other things, and this was really surprising for me.  I had heard about the power of writing down your goals, of using the written word to manifest. This is something that is not new, and it is also something that is not very exotic. In fact, I have to say that I skipped this method because it just wasn’t sexy enough. When I first read about keeping a Prosperity Journal, I thought, “Just write stuff down? That’s it? No complicated and complex incantations? No rare and ancient practices being unearthed and modified for the 21st century?

How’s that ever going to work??”
But, nonetheless, writing your abundance into existence is something that some of the earliest New Thought leaders and philosophers have recommended time and time again. I’ve read a few books on prosperity, and time and time again authors have recommended this practice. I skipped it for years, and then finally came back to when I found a book in my basement that once again recommended the practice. I finally threw my hands up, and said, “Ok I’m going to try it! Here I go!”

I went to a store, I found the perfect journal that I wanted (or rather, it found me, as it just sort of reached out and grabbed my gaze and was perfect for me) and I started. I gave it plenty of planning from many different methodologies that I’ve learned in my life, deciding what I personally thought was important and made certain I included those things in the journal. I will definitely discuss all of those aspects shortly.

And, well…within a few weeks of beginning the practice…wow.  I had some pretty quick results, and I actually got chills. This was Magic, indeed, capital M! I have to say that I, personally, fell in love with the Prosperity Journal practice. Things really began to happen! There was something about writing down what I wanted as though it is currently happening that seemed to actually push me past certain plateaus. Now again, there are certain things I include in here, that I will get into momentarily, that I think may have played a part in this being so successful in manifesting. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I am now recording the physical manifestions, or perhaps it’s due to the more frequent lists and expressions of gratitude.

Whatever it is, keeping a Prosperity Journal has been a game changer for me, and I highly, highly recommend it. If you have not tried keeping a Prosperity Journal and are thinking, “What? That sounds soo trite and boring….I don’t know about that…” I want you to keep an open mind and just commit to trying it for at least 45 days. If you HAVE tried keeping a Prosperity Journal in the past, and you weren’t successful, I challenge you to try it again. There are several  aspects to the way I keep my Prosperity Journal that may differ from what you’ve done, and I challenge you to try it in the way we’re going to discuss. Again, just give it 45 days, and then you can make a decision.

Ok, so, how do we craft a Prosperity Journal to be a powerful manifestation tool? Let’s get to it!

The first thing you will obviously need to do is find your Journal! This should not be a casual act, but rather something of planning and intention. Remember, we are tapping into and harnessing the power of Earth and of Taurus. This begins with the implementation of our manifesting tool. Make it a planned, intentional event. What does wealth and abundance mean to you? The colors most traditionally associated with these powers are green and gold, but that may be different for you. What colors, designs and finishes feel like wealth and abundance for you? What images? What type of paper? I know one journal company, Peter Pauper Press, makes astoundingly gorgeous journals. I mean, they are absolutely luxorious and beautiful. You can find them in Barnes and Noble and online of course. And they are also a tad pricier.

However, you do NOT need to spend coin on a lovely Prosperity Journal. I had actually intended to go shopping for a pricier Prosperity Journal, but THIS journal chose ME at, of all places, a Marshall’s. To those that are unfamiliar with Marshall’s, it’s basically a chain of bargain stores.  I found saw this lovely journal for a few dollars, and I immediately fell in love with it. It was perfect! It’s a lovely green and gold, AND it has images of gold-etched leaves on the back and cover, and on the pages, just tying in the connection between nature and abundance.
So really take your time and energetically feel into how a journal will work for you for manifestation. You should really love it, and it should make you feel wealthy and rich, whatever that means to YOU.

So, once you have your Prosperity Journal, how to use it?
Firstly, claim it by writing your name in it. This ties it to you as YOUR tool.

Secondly, you are going to write an Intention of Purpose at the beginning of your journal. It is literally just a statement of gratitude for the journal, followed by a statement of intention for what you demand the journal do for you.  And yes, that’s right, this is a tool for you. As your tool, you are thankful to have it, and also demand that it be a powerful and effective tool to bring about your desires and goals. This could be something like, “I give thanks for this Prosperity Journal.  I consecrate and bless this Journal that it may be used to bring wild growth of abundance and wealth into my life in a constant and dependable flow.” Just an example. You can craft it to however you want, so long as you create an Intention. This is giving purpose to your Journal, so it “knows” its job and what it is to help you with. Of course, YOU are the magician of your life, and YOU are bringing the abundance in, but your Prosperity Journal is the tool that is giving shape, order and magnification to the magic you are creating.

Finally, as an option, I also highly recommend you bless it in some way. This could be as simple as passing it through smoke or incense, or crafting a long and elaborate cleansing ritual. It’s entirely up to you! Make it your own! The only important thing is for you to cleanse it and dedicate it to your purposes. Again, this is optional but recommended.
So, now you have your Prosperity Journal, and you have your name written in, you have written your Intention of Purpose in the beginning of the journal and you have blessed it, which is optional.

What next? Well, you are now going to write in your Journal daily. Or at least 5 days a week. It is as simple as that. However, I want to make sure you include 4 parts to your daily entries. I love the number Four because it is a number of stability and structure. These are definitely energies we could use in our financial and worldly lives!

PART I: Daily Affirmation. I want you to think of one think that is the most important thing for you to manifest in your life. You are going to commit to this one thing for at least 30-45 days. This should be believable and achievable. For example, you may think of earning $5000 a month. This may be your focal affirmation. You are going to write your affirmation in the present tense, preferable using what I think is called the present participle (please don’t quote me on that, I forget these things!). Basically you are going to use the verb ending in –ing. I also want you to inject joyous emotion into your affirmation. For example, I would write, “I am easily and joyfully earning over $5000 every single month” as my daily affirmation. I would write this 10 times daily. Now, I this is too much, then make it 5 times. Or 6 times. You just want to make it a daily ritual of repetition.

PART II. Wealth-Building Ideas. Each day, I want you to list ways you can think of to make more money, whether it be that day or long-term. For example, is there anything that you can sell? Anything that you can teach?  Just spend a little while considering ways you manifest more money and list any actions you can take, as well as any other things such as timelines and details. For example, maybe you can think of marketing plans to get more clients. If you can’t think of anything, then simply write, “I am grateful for the right ideas and inspiration to arrive at the perfect time.” And trust that the ideas will come when you are ready. Also keep in mind this could very well mean attending to “leaks” of wealth, such as your debt and overspending. This also includes wealth education, such as taking courses and reading books on how to grow your wealth and monetize your skill set.

PART III. Treasure Tracker. This is the section where you record and give thanks for every – and I do mean EVERY – amount of money and wealth that enters your life. It doesn’t matter if its thousands of dollars or a penny you find on the street. Record, give thanks and celebrate every amount of money that comes into your life. You making an effort to bring in more prosperity and abundance, and you need to recognize and be thankful for when it works. The Universe responds to gratitude and focus, so when you give your attention to all money and forms of wealth that the Universe blesses you with- no matter how small – and give gratitude to all money and forms of wealth that the Universe blesses you with – no matter how small, the Universe will give you more of it. It will become absolutely amazing to see how much you attract and manifest when you actually record it!

PART IV. Shameless Gratitude. And finally, this is the section where you give thanks for ALL gifts that you have in your life. ALL forms of abundance that you are given are to be acknowledged and given thanks for. This could be for money that you have been given or have earned, for property, for assets, OR for other forms of abundance such as your beauty, your HEALTH (this is HUGE!), your children, or even compliments that people have given you. Perhaps it was a beautiful day that you had with friends and family or a beloved pet. Because this is a daily practice, you don’t have to go on for hours and hours UNLESS, of course, you are bursting and really want to! This is a daily practice, so you can keep it smaller. Just find at least 5 things that day or the previous day that you are thankful for.
And that’s it! You are going to do these four steps in your Prosperity Journal every day, or, again, at least 5 days every week.  I find the morning is the best time. Try to set aside 15-20 minutes a day at least to record in your Prosperity Journal. I believe that this will open the door to a flow of prosperity  and a healthier relationship with wealth that will change your life.

So have fun with this, and let me know how this practice works out for you!

And now I want to talk about a Tarot card.

This New Moon in Taurus, I want to talk for just a brief moment about the Ace of Pentacles.   Of the four suits found in the Tarot, the suit of Pentacles is the one most associated and aligned with the sign of Taurus. Like Taurus, the suit of Pentacles is ruled by the element of Earth, and is associated with the same themes: money, assets, property, wealth and abundance.  The Ace of Pentacles is the energetic seed of the suit. It represents the pure potential and origination of all abundance and wealth. It represents the truth and wisdom that all physical manifestation begins in the energetic field before it grows into physical existence. It begins as a thought, a desire, an intention, and then grows into the physical world with the right guidance, caring and spiritual surrender. Action and receptivity.

Inspired by the spring and the New Moon in Taurus, I’ve included a FREE gift for you this month. At the provided link, you will find a MP3 that I’ve called the “Ace of Pentacles Creative Visualization.” Now is just such an amazing energetic time to re-devote yourself to physical manifestation and prosperity. This meditation is all about connecting your body’s energetic, purposeful action with the natural effortless design of the Universe to result in the manifestation of your desires. Your energetic action plus your surrendering to the effortless nature of the Universe to grow abundance without effort  results in the bringing about of the physical things that you desire.  Just make sure you are in a quiet place with some time set aside with no distractions.

You can do this meditation daily if you have time, or whenever you are able to do so. It is up to you. But my goal with this meditation is to create an additional tool for you to use to grow your own personal Heaven on Earth, whatever that means to you. The purpose is to align you with your body’s energetic intention and action with the Universe’s own power to bring about change. There are things you need to do, but you also need to surrender to the Universe’s planning and natural inclination and design towards abundance. A blending of both practices will lead to your own manifestation success.
